Jane Urban started as the new librarian on October 15, and she is thrilled to be working with the students and staff here in Erving. She is here at the school every weekday except Wednesdays, and can be reached at extension 103 or by email at urban@erving.com.

This year’s theme for the Read-A-Thon (RAT) is “The United States of Reading.” Students are encouraged to learn new things about our country by reading in many different subjects and genres: history, science, the arts, mysteries, folklore, even recipes. The RAT begins on Monday, Jan. 7 and culminates on Monday, March 3, which is also the national “Read-Across-America” day. Information will come home with students on Friday, Jan. 4, and will also appear in the January edition of Inside Erving.
