Massachusetts Children's Book Award 2008 4th, 5th, and 6th graders at the Erving Elementary School are reading the books from the 2008 list of the Massachusetts Children’s Book Award (MCBA) nominees. Because we started late this year, students only have to read a minimum of 4 of the books by Feb. 29, 2008, in order to vote on their favorite. (a change in the rules for this year only!) Also happening on Feb. 29 is our annual MCBA party for any students who participating; again, kids only have to have read four titles, but the more books you read, the more fun you’ll have at the party. This year, the Leverett School is playing host—watch for more information in early February from Ms. Urban! Check out the wiki, which has links to author’s web pages and related activities.
